Research School of Economics (RSE) Events are harassment-free and sober.

Our events are dedicated to providing a scholarly and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof).

We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery, which is not directly related to research projects under discussion, is not appropriate for any RSE venue or event including talks, workshops, lunches, dinners, lectures, tutorials, external engagement.

Because we view all RSE events (including workshop dinners and workshop lunches, staff get-togethers organised in the name of RSE, RSE Christmas and RSE Melbourne cup parties) are extensions of the scholarly activities of the School, all events organised by RSE are alcohol-free.

The RSE will not pay for consumption of alcohol at any event organised by the School, we additionally request that participants in RSE organised events do not buy or bring their own alcohol to the RSE event.
